About Hollandia Truffles Trip and its publisher
Who publishes Hollandia Truffles Trip, how the route information is researched and checked, and why the product links go to Avalon Magic Plants.
Hollandia Truffles Trip is published by the team behind Avalon Magic Plants, a Dutch smartshop that sells Hollandia and other fresh magic truffles. The product links and shop buttons on this site go to Avalon. When you buy through such a link, we earn from the sale.
We say this first because it matters for how you read the rest. The site exists to explain one thing well: how a trip on a strong truffle unfolds, stage by stage, and how to plan it during a stay in the Netherlands. That includes the parts that do not help sales, such as never taking a second portion, when a milder truffle is the better choice, and why truffles stay in the Netherlands.
How the information is put together
- Timings and effects come from Dutch public health sources such as DRUGSinfo (Trimbos Institute) and Jellinek, and from laboratory studies with psilocybin. Studies are linked where we use them.
- Strength classifications and dose advice for each truffle come from the shop's product descriptions and are presented as such. They are not laboratory measurements.
- The elevation profile on the start page is an illustration of published averages, not a measurement of any one trip.
- The route reports are composites, clearly labelled. We do not publish invented testimonials or reviews.
- We make no medical or health claims of any kind.
- Legal information carries the date it was checked. Laws change; this is information, not legal advice.
Every page shows when it was last updated. If something here is out of date or wrong, Avalon's customer service can pass it on to us.
Who is behind the shop

Avalon Magic Plants has sold magic truffles since 2009, ships from the Netherlands and sells only to adults. Its mascot is the cheerful cactus above, here in its sunglasses, ready for the summit.
